Study abroad period

More than 6 months and less than 12 months from the first or second half of FY2019

Qualification requirements

At the time of selection and study abroad, the applicant must be enrolled as an undergraduate student in the regular course of Faculty of Engineering Department of Mechanical Engineering for Transportation, and meet the following conditions.
(1) Academic performance at our university must be GPA 2.25 or higher.

* Osaka Sangyo University Graduate School, international students, research students, non-degree students, etc. cannot apply.

Scholarships etc.

(1) Tuition fee

Tuition fees are not required at the destination.

(2) Scholarship

A scholarship of 600,000 yen/year will be provided.

(3) Others

Osaka Sangyo University Supporters Association plans to provide 100,000 yen as a preparation fund.

*Travel expenses are at your own expense.
*Even during your study abroad period, you must pay your university tuition fees. (See student registration section)
*If you are selected for the Overseas Study Abroad Support System (Short-term Dispatch) Scholarship of the Japan Student Services Organization, an independent administrative agency, our university will not provide any scholarships or study abroad preparation funds.
*If you withdraw from the university without returning to the university (or without obtaining a degree) after the study abroad period ends, or if you are expelled from the register, you will be required to return the amount equivalent to the scholarship, study abroad preparation fund, and tuition fees at the host institution.

School record

During the period of study abroad, students will remain enrolled at our university and this period will be included in their enrollment at our university.
(If you wish to study abroad on a leave of absence, please consult with International Exchange Office in advance. Please note that financial support such as scholarships will not be provided if you wish to study abroad on a leave of absence.)

Credit recognition

Credits earned while studying abroad will be converted into credits from our university (up to 30 credits), subject to the approval of the faculty council.

Submit the following set of documents to International Exchange Office

  1. Application form [designated form]
  2. written oath
  3. University transcript (a copy of the transcript is also acceptable)
  4. learning plan
  5. Recommendation letter from our faculty
  6. Japanese essay “Reason for wanting to study abroad” (approx. 800 characters) [designated form]

Selection

1st Korean written test

Exam date: Scheduled for mid-January

2nd interview

Interview date scheduled for mid-January 2019
