Information Science Center Wi-Fi

The following Wi-Fi is available:

LEONETWiFi-1x Register authentication information on the device and have the device automatically authenticate from then on.

Our university participates in eduroam, and can use the wireless LANs of other universities and research institutes. For details, please refer to here.

How to connect to LEONETWiFi-1x

  1. Display the Wi-Fi list on your device.
  2. Select “LEONETWiFi-1x”.
  3. Enter your username (ID) and password (same as Portal-OSU).

*If you need to select an authentication method, please select one of the following values.
• SSID (Network Name): LEONETWiFi-1x
Security: WPA2 Enterprise
Encryption: AES
・Authentication method: EAP-PEAP
・Anonymous ID: [blank]*Depending on your device, "Anonymous" may be displayed automatically. If "Anonymous" is entered, you will not be able to connect, so please delete it and leave it blank.

What to do if you suddenly can't connect

  • Move to a location with better reception and try connecting again.
  • We renew our Wi-Fi server certificate several times a year. After the renewal, you may experience connection problems due to the new certificate. Please try the following methods.

    [For Windows users]
    Please delete your current Wi-Fi settings and then set them up again. Refer to the instructions on how to delete a network.
    [For iPhone users]
    The updated certificate may be displayed on the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions (screen sample) and tap "Trust" or "Continue" to proceed.
    [For Android]
    Please follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect.
    If you are unable to connect, please delete your current Wi-Fi settings and then set them up again.
    *The deletion method varies depending on the device, so please check the website on your device.
